Ashe Services for Aging, founded in 1977, is an independent, nonprofit organization that offers health care services for senior citizens and adults with developmental disabilities. The organization is fully certified by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care. It is licensed by the Division of Health Service Regulation. Ashe Services for Aging is a member of the National Association for Home Care and the Ashe County Chamber of Commerce. Its senior center is certified as the Senior Center of Excellence by the North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services. The organization has a staff of more than 150 employees. Ashe Services for Aging offers in-home and day care services for senior citizens. The organization also operates the Ashe Services for Aging Foundation. In addition, it provides personal care assistance, meal preparation, monitoring and home management services.
