Located in Sun Valley, Nev., Lois Allen Elementary School is an educational institution that enrolls students in kindergarten through grade six. Opened in 1991, it employs a staff of more than 35 teachers and paraprofessionals. The school has a computer lab facility that offers several programs, such as Pondering Problems, Penny Panda and Coin Critters, Clock Shop, Word Way and Write Way and Wild West Math. It also has a Parent Faculty Organization, which is a nonprofit entity that supports various school events, such as spring carnivals, bingo nights, student of the month, talent shows, field trips and yearbook launches. Lois Allen Elementary School is a part of the Washoe County School District, which is one of the largest educational institutions of Nevada.
