This landmark Main Street church was founded in 1873, and claims an interesting history: Its namesake pastor, the Rev. Ormond W. Wright, founded a church in Dodge City. Legend has it, Wyatt Earp himself was a deacon. The meeting house, built in 1767, was the first place of worship built in town and the third in the county. A cemetery with graves dating to the late 1700s lies adjacent to the church.
