Rosemount United Methodist Church is a wonderful place to call home for people of all ages and stages. Saint John's Lutheran Church was founded in 1911 as a member congregation of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. The people of St. John's have been served by God through the ministry of Word and Sacrament at the same Rich Valley location ever since. The present building was constructed in 1977 and the original church was moved a half mile east at that time.
The Sacrament of the Altar is celebrated on the first through fourth Sundays of each month. The members of St. John's and those visitors who, by their choice of Church membership, have publicly declared their beliefs to be those of St. John's, are encouraged to receive the Sacrament each time it is offered.
The Catechism program at St. John's is a three year program, 6th -8th grades.
First Baptist Church is a place where members are busy, excited, involved, and anxious about the happenings of a multi-faceted ministry. With several dozen ministries involving various age groups, there is a place for you.
Whether you are new to church or coming from another ministry, the opportunities to serve and be a part of First Baptist are numerous. Hundreds of people volunteer both on Sunday and throughout the week, and they find a special joy in serving Christ, using their talent and abilities for the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are a church, but more than that, we are a church family serving together where everyone can have a part. We work together for the cause of Christ and experience a common bond in knowing the Lord, worshipping together, and growing in our faith. It is exciting to witness how our own lives are changed for the better as well as the lives of our own families, friends, and others in the community.
Community of Hope presently functions as an Independent Lutheran church and is in the process of exploring affiliations.
In the fall of 2010, Community of Hope entered into a ministry partnership with North Heights Lutheran Church. Pastor Per was called to use his leadership gifts to oversee both ministries. At the same time, Community of Hope began a second site ministry in Hastings, MN.
The future for Community of Hope is to move toward the development of a network of Churches that are passionately aligned for kingdom building work. North Heights and Community of Hope will be at the hub of that network.
The vision which continues to drive the church is "..bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to 1,000,000 unchurched people every 20 years."
The church began 100 years ago as St. John's Lutheran Church. Then, in the late 1990s the name was changed to St. John's Lighthouse and more recently, Lighthouse Christian Church.
The church is an Inter-denomination Christian Church under the Apostolic covering of International Ministerial Fellowship IMF. IMF has their international headquarters in Fridley, MN.
Led by Pastor Neil Ristow, the church describes itself as an institution that firmly believes in "the doctrines of historic Christianity as they are revealed in the Bible."
The congregation has a variety of programs to choose from, including an extensive youth program, an adult Bible study class, early learning center and programs for children of all ages.
