Orems United Methodist Church has a history that dates back to 1773. Rev. Dr. Lynn Glassbrook leads a congregation of about 150. The church, which also has a cemetery on its grounds, offers a wide variety of services. Along with a youth group, the church hosts an emergency food bank, along with Girl Scout and Alcoholic Anonymous meetings.

The church is led by Pastor Scott Grogg, who joined the church in August 2007.
The Corps Community Center is right in the heart of Middle River and is located right outside the Aero Acres community. The center houses activities and programs ranging from music and education to worship and athletics. In addition, the Salvation Army assists families in need through its services program. Through the Boys and Girls Club, the center also offers after-school, educational, recreational and community service opportunities for youth ages 6-18 in the area.
