Fair Oaks United Methodist Church is an intergenerational community that offers children's Sunday school, periodic youth group gatherings for junior and senior high school youth, and occasional special activities along with traditional services every Sunday.
Missionary Gospel Church, located on San Juan Avenue, is easily missed if you are not looking for it. Located at the end of a long parking lot, the church has a small entrance that is marked by a marble sign. Along with Sunday services, Missionary Gospel Church offers a play area for children and mission trips for youth. Sermons are streamed live on the church's website and are also available via searchable archives.
Fairvale Baptist Church rests squarely in the central area of Fair Oaks. The church is prominently featured on Madison Avenue and would be hard to miss by most residents of the area. The church also provides before- and after-school child care services.
The small family-based congregation offers in-house child care services from 6:30 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The church also serves the community in a variety of capacities, including food drives, work with local fire departments and cooperating with other church programs in raising money and collecting food for the needy.
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints members are taught the restored gospel, afford service opportunities and given access to sacred priesthood ordinances. Many enjoy the fellowship they find with other members. This congregation has a choir, child care, missionary programs, youth efforts and study groups.
The Sacramento Korean Baptist Church is the only of its kind in the Fair Oaks area. It emphasizes passion, prayer and fellowship as its three religious gospels. The church also promotes English-speaking missionary work throughout the area. Sacramento Korean Baptist recently appointed its new Senior Pastor, Daniel Kim in October, 2010 after a nearly 30-year tenor of its previous Senior Pastor. The congregation recently began renovations to much of its temple.
At Faith Lutheran Preschool we believe in educating the “whole child” in a safe, Christian environment. We develop social skills, cognitive abilities, emotional awareness, and learn about God’s love through Jesus Christ. Our Preschool program offers year-round childcare, academic assessments, weekly chapel services, music/library time, sensory play, arts & crafts, physical education, reading circle time, Bible stories, and performances. We use Core-Knowledge Curriculum beginning at age three. The program is structured, yet allows the child to make their own choices during social play, circle time, and confidence building opportunities.
We also offer a Transitional Kindergarten program. Transitional Kindergarten is not another year of Preschool. Some children need more time to develop socially or academically – and Transitional Kindergarten is the bridge between preschool and kindergarten. TK is designed for the four-year old or young five-year old child who’s been in preschool, yet is not ready for extended teacher directed lessons and a longer school day. The curriculum incorporates activities in a classroom setting that increase academic skills, self confidence and ease in social relations. Faith Language Arts & Math curriculum is aligned with Kindergarten standards. A shorter instructional day and smaller class size are perfect for some children.

Nested off of Hazel Ave and North Winding Way, this small community church offers three services a week: Sunday at 10:30am and again at 3:00pm and Tuesday at 7:30pm.
Serbian Orthodox Church is located in the heart of Fair Oaks. Akathist is held Wednesdays at 6pm, Vespers is held Saturday at 6pm, and Divine Liturgy is held on Sundays and 10am. The Fair Oaks church is part of a network that includes 32 dioceses, 3,578 parishes, 204 monasteries, 1,900 parish priests, some 230 monks and 1000 nuns.
This fellowship and worship center offers six different ministry options, including music, college, youth and children ministries. Located on Dewey Drive near Manzanita Avenue,the church has two services weekly on Sunday and Wednesday. Check out its Web site for more information on all the classes and events offered.
The Sacramento Association of Southern Baptist Churches is a California religious non-profit corporation with a membership of 90 congregations in the Greater Sacramento Valley. SASBC was founded in 1945 by people who migrated from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri to California. Together they provided training and support for pastors and churches.
Located adjacent to The First Baptist Church of Fair Oaks, this daycare, preschool and church is located on a beautifuly layed out property off of San Juan Avenue.
Both a church and religous institution sitting on a beautiful tree filled lot, it offers two Sunday services and also offers over ten types of ministries (preschool, children, youth, sports, music, womens, mens, senior, homeless, etc.).
New Life Community Church is a Pentecostal-based church with an active gospel choir. Services typically last about 75 minutes three days per week.
This Christian-based community church boasts a large, beautiful, two-story church center where it offers two different styles of Sunday services as well as numerous classes throughout the week and more than 15 different ministry categories including children, college, high school, junior high and more.
Grace Bible Church's mission statement is "to glorify God by making disciples exalt God, edify saints and evangelize." The independent church teaches the Bible and not preexisting traditions. The church encourages its followers to start their own traditions. Grace Bible Church works autonomously outside traditional faith-based religions, working with small groups to build a fellowship. It is the belief of the church by focusing on the words of the Bible the relationships of smaller groups and families will also be strengthened.
St. Mel's original parish set boundaries in Old Fair Oaks in 1959. The parish would later be moved to its current location on Pennsylvania Ave. in 1974. St. Mel's sponsors a group of parishioners active in the Cursillo Movement, a study in developing a deeper knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith.
The church itself has undergone renovations in the past decade. The parish also recently added a community center on grounds next to the existing church.
