Healdsburg District Hospital is a private nonprofit medical center administered by Northern Sonoma County Healthcare District.
Healdsburg District Hospital serves about 50,000 residents in Healdsburg, Windsor, Geyserville and Cloverdale.
In July 2009, the hospital purchased Healdsburg Primary Care, a medical group of six physicians who see patients at the hospital and in their private practice offices adjacent to the medical center.
Physicians at Healdsburg Primary Care, which also includes three nurse practitioners, are now under contract with the hospital, but the other employees of the group are hospital employees.
Area residents in 2001 approved a tax to keep the hospital alive, and the hospital district was formed in 2002.
