Warrensville Community Apartments is a retirement home for seniors wishing to live independently in a social environment. The nine-story facility offers 24-hour emergency service, regularly scheduled special events and group activities for residents.
The University Heights Pool is located inside Purvis Park in University Heights. The pool boasts a 30-foot high water slide, swim lanes, two diving boards and a baby area. The whole pool is about 10,300 square feet. Through the University Heights recreation department, swim teams and swimming lessons are available among other programs. The pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day.
At the Alta House in Little Italy, many services are available to the community which are meant to enrich the culture. The Alta House provides senior services such as homemaking, nutrition programs and transportation. Children and youth services are organized at the Alta House like tutoring, youth sport leagues, art programs and field trips. Adult sport leagues are also available as well as Italian classes for all ages.
