Constructed in 1873, The Grafton and Upton Railroad is a short line railroad in East-Central Massachusetts. This fifteen-mile line connects the Framingham/Worcester Line in Grafton to the Franklin Line in Milford. While only the first seven and a half miles are in active use at the moment, the whole line is currently undergoing track maintenance and repairs with plans to be fully operable over the next few years. The project promises to open up economic development opportunities including transloading operations.
