Opened in 1956, Shaftsbury Elementary School enrolls approximately 200 students in kindergarten through grade six. It has more than 20 professional and over 10 paraprofessional support staff. The school operates several academic departments, such as language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and technology education. Shaftsbury Elementary School additionally has art, music and physical education specialists. Its parent-teacher organization sponsors a range of fundraising events.
