Dixie Middle School is an educational institution that offers a range of academic programs for students. The school conducts classes in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. It maintains a library, as well as provides educational opportunities for gifted and talented children. Dixie Middle School offers various recreational opportunities, including music, band and choir. The school conducts various sports activities, including basketball and wrestling. It is a part of New Lebanon Local Schools, which also governs elementary and high schools. New Lebanon Local Schools operates curriculum, transportation and food services departments. The district spreads across an area of more than 35 square miles, as well as serves over 1,200 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12.
