Taneytown Elementary School offers classes in English, math, science, social studies and language arts to students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. The school s curriculum also includes art, physical education, and instrumental and vocal music. It provides special education and Title I programs. Taneytown Elementary School s media center houses more than 12,000 items, including books, magazines, videos and professional journals. The school has a parent-teacher organization that hosts several book fairs and kids nights. The organization additionally sponsors fundraising events, such as ink-jet recycling program, food lion shop & share and box tops for education.
