Chariton High School is an educational institution that offers instruction in mathematics, language arts, science, social studies and physical education. The school provides several sports activities, such as football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, soccer, cheerleading, and track and field. It provides the English as a Second Language program and embership opportunities in the National Honor Society. Chariton High School maintains a student council and Spanish and art clubs. The school has a library media center, as well as provides learning opportunities for students with special needs. It also conducts classes in industrial technology, music, and family and consumer science. Chariton High School is governed by Chariton Community Schools.
