The Rev. Koonae A. Lee leads the Stratford United Methodist Church, which traces its roots in town back to 1789. Nine generations have worshiped as part of this church, which has occupied four houses of worship since it was established. Church ministries include missionary, adult, youth, children's and music programs.
The Helen King Reynolds Private School focuses on the complete development of 3- and 4-year-old children – socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually. Language and numbers are informally introduced. There is a large fenced-in playground with many playsets for the students. The school is nationally accredited and maintains a low teacher-to-student ratio.
Cheyenne's Daycare & Learning Center offers childcare services for children from 6 weeks of age to 5 years. In addition to its full-time Monday through Friday daycare, the center also offers after-school programs.
The ABC Childcare Center provides care and programs for infants, toddlers and preschool-aged children. These programs are aimed towards the creative, intellectual and social development of children, thereby readying students for kindergarten. There are numerous group activities such as dramatics, stories and rhythmic play.
Full-time and part-time daycare and nursery school services are offered at the Lordship Learning Tree. The school has a detached fenced-in playground for the children to climb and play in. Learning Tree is located in the rear of The Lordship Community Church between Prospect Drive, Victoria Lawn and Crown Street.
