The Payette County Sheriffs Office is a full-service, community-oriented law enforcement agency that protects, preserves and safeguards the civil rights of citizens. It provides a range of community services, such as children fingerprinting, house checks, crime prevention and concealed weapon permits. Located in Payette, Idaho, the Payette County Sheriffs Office enforces the State Motor Vehicle Licensing Act, including inspection of out-of-state cars. In addition, the sheriff s office inspects cars and determines their identification numbers. The Payette County Sheriffs Office supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is an international education program that seeks to prevent the use of illegal drugs, membership in gangs and violent behavior.
