At Palomares Hills Park, there's plenty of room for running, playing, chasing and exercising. Play a game of softball at the baseball field or go long duirng a game of catch in one of several giant grass fields. Although it's quite a ways from the flatlands of Castro Valley, the park is beautiful enough to justify driving seven to 10 minutes uphill for a visit. Restrooms, picnic tables and a kiddie playground sit across the street from the sports fields.
