Christ's Academy provides a Bible-based curriculum to its students, emphasizing the Word of God instead of standard public education practices. Physical education classes are given twice per week for all grade levels, art/drawing and keyboarding are given once per week for all grade levels and Spanish classes also are available. Music lessons are given on guitar and piano for $5 per lesson each Thursday.
Covering a five-county area south and south-west of Chicago and headquartered in the Westview Baptist Church in Shorewood, the Three Rivers Baptist Association consists of 32 churches and four missions. Its main function is to foster communication and coordination between those churches and their congregations to strengthen their resources and relevance, both individually and as a whole.

The Pathway Christian Fellowship Church began when a small group of men and women who met regularly for home Bible study decided to celebrate an Easter sunrise service in 1984. That first service was conducted in a downtown Joliet restaurant and went so well that the celebrants decided to meet regularly and form their own church. The church's motto is, "Join us on the journey."
