St. Lawrence is a Roman Catholic Church serving hundreds of families in Killingworth and the surrounding areas. Its present home was built in 1988. The Church offers numerous services, including religious education (kindergarten through ninth grade), baptisms, marriage preparations and volunteer opportunities.

A non-denominational church located in the rural backwoods of Killingworth, Living Rock Church welcomes visitors of all faiths. This unique place of worship was built entirely by members of the congregation in 1990, after the church decided to relocate from Madison. The church incorporates music and art into sermon, and also offers personal prayer, counseling and encouragement. A nursery is provided for small children during services. The church also offers many programs to provide comfort and direction.

Living Rock Church performs missionary work in Bolivia and Ukraine, where plans are under way to build a church.

Emmanuel Episcopal Church, "The Church in the Wildnerness," is one of the Nutmeg State's oldest houses of worship and is listed on the Federal Register of Historic Places. The church, which is Anglican in heritage, is found off the beaten path in a scenic, peaceful and rural setting.  The mission is "to build up a strong, worshiping community of caring people reaching out to others in the name of Christ."

As part of the Middlesex Area Cluster Ministry, Emmanuel Episcopal Church has a rotation of priests every liturgical season, or over six to eight weeks. Mosts priests are from Yale Divinity School or Yale College.

Outreach programs include Helping Hands Food Bank; Amazing Grace Food Pantry; St. Vincent dePaul's Place; Bishop's Fund for Children; Heifer International; Lulac Head Start; New Horizons Women's Shelter; Mision Divino Salvador in Bogota, Colombia; Art Bra for Breast Cancer; Haiti Episcopal Relief; clothes for the needy; peanut butter and food for the local food bank and support of the local Crop Walk.
