This is one of the oldest churches in town, with a facade that is aged and worn and with a large stained glass window that gives the church a deep sense of dignity and grace. A Pentecostal church on the outskirts of town, Kingdom Christian Center has an extensive program of worship and spiritual growth for all ages, including a two-hour Sunday service, youth activities and a program to help enhance the health of marriages and families. Lance Yeley and wife Tracy are the senior pastors and church founders. Their goal is to make the church a beacon of reconciliation and healing for a multiracial and cross-cultural community.
The beautifully constructed stone front of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints makes its Powell Avenue location hard to miss. The church always welcomes new visitors and is open for new membership. Daily mass service is offered to worshippers, and bible study is available.
