Stevenson High School serves students from Lincolnshire, Long Grove and Prairie View, as well as the Lake County portion of Buffalo Grove and parts of Deerfield, Hawthorn Woods, Indian Creek, Kildeer, Lake Forest, Lake Zurich, Mettawa, Mundelein, Palatine, Riverwoods, Vernon Hills and Wheeling. It is the sole school in District 125. Home of the Patriots, the school is composed of adjoined east and west buildings that sit on a 76-acre campus.
The school is named for former Illinois governor Adlai E. Stevenson II, who twice campaigned unsuccessfully for president.
