The Zion Worship Center is a multi-cultural church of believers in Jesus Christ. A Bible-center ministry, the church exists to meet the need of the people the way Jesus did. It offers a Malayalam service on Sundays at 9 am, an English service on Sundays at 11:15am and an urban youth outreach service on Sundays at 1:45pm with the Rev. Anthony Perez.
In addition, each Friday at 7:45pm, the church hosts the Smoke House, a get-together for urban youth. Bible study is offered Tuesday and Thursday at 7 pm.
Originally founded in 1973 as the First Pentecostal Church, HighPoint Church of Brandon officially changed its name in October of 2005. Building renovations have resulted in a Sunday School rooms, a youth activity center, a fellowship hall, a commercial kitchen and a full basement. Led by Pastor Mejean and Bishop Goldsberry, this family-oriented, bible-based congregation's primary purpose is to help people reach "the high point in their walk with Christ." Members can take advantage of Sunday school, praise, worship and WORD - Women's Ministry of HighPoint. Adult bible study and youth service are also available. The HighPoint website contains a host of information including Christian news updates, an events calendar and online sermons; members are also encouraged to post and read requests online.
