Located off of Mission Boulevard and 7th Street, Drigon Dog Park is a fun, friendly park for dogs to roam around off-leash. The park offers several types of activities and exercises for dogs, including dog tunnels, a climbing platform, dog jumps and more. The park provides a watering station and scooper dispensers. Drigon Dog Park has two designated areas: a small dog area for dogs weighing 29 lbs or less and a large dog area for dogs weighing 30 lbs or more. Named after Union City's first recreation director, Charles Kennedy, Kennedy Park is the city's largest park. Located near the Union City BART station, it features a basketball court, two playgrounds, a large amphitheater available for reservations and special events and a community center. The center offers classes in art, dance and more for teens and kids. The park also has three main picnic areas: Daniel Camerillo, Sycamore and Willow. Each picnic area provides tables, which can seat up to about 40 people, and a BBQ grill.

Named after former Union City Police Chief William Cann, this 5-acre park features a playground and picnic area, which seats about 40 to 60 people.  There are oak and alder trees throughout the park, which provide plenty of comfortable shade, and a grove of redwood trees that were planted in honor of Chief Cann.

Located in a residential area off of Perry Road, Arroyo Park offers a variety of activities including tennis, baseball, basketball, soccer and more. The tennis court area (there are four tennis courts) is located at the south end area of Arroyo Park. You will also find a playground and plenty of picnic tables. The park has two main picnic sites: Arroyo and Perry, which both seat around 16 to 25 people and can be reserved. Arroyo Park runs along the Alameda Creek and is open Sunday through Saturday, 6am to 10pm.

Contempo Park is a convenient place to hold special outdoor events, such as a child's birthday party or a softball game. Dedicated to former Union City Police Chief William Cann, William Cann Civic Center Park is an ideal place for local residents to enjoy beautiful scenery and the outdoors. The park has a large lagoon, which serves as a temporary home to many birds as they migrate south. An exercise path runs along the lagoon and leads to two small bridges that cross the water. There are play areas for the kids, and the landscaping is well maintained, which makes the park a great spot for a picnic. For larger groups, you can book the Egret or the Heron picnic site for a small fee. Each has a barbecue grill and seats 10 to 25 people. The park is located near City Hall, the Union City Police Department, the library and Skate Park.

Just off of Dyer Street in the Sea Breeze Neighborhood, Sea Breeze Park features a variety of outdoor activities including a large grassy field with two baseball fields, two picnic sites and a playground. The park is a perfect spot to host a baseball or soccer game. The picnic sites, Sea Picnic and Breeze Picnic, can seat about 25 people and are available for reservations.
