Founded in 1994 by Steve and Diana Loeb, L & L Music · Wind Shop, Inc. is a unique music store in the D.C. area, specializing exclusively in the sales and service of brass and woodwind instruments. As well as repairing, selling and renting instruments, we also sell music and accessories and offer private lessons for all brass and woodwind instruments. We carry a wide selection of music from all major publishers. Our extensive single reed selection features a full line of Vandoren, Rico International, Oliveri, Alexander, Legere and Fibracell reeds. Our Double reeds include Lesher, Emerald, Fox, Jones, and Dunkel. We stock accessories from Selmer, DEG, Pro Tec, Humes & Berg, Yamaha, and many others. The primary instrument brands we carry include Buffet, Leblanc, Vito, Cannonball, Selmer, Yanagisawa, Gemeinhardt, Pearl, Holton, Bach and L & L Winds. The L & L Winds Brand is a custom brand made available through a partnership with an overseas company. Steve traveled to China to guide a major factory in the improvement of manufacturing brass and woodwind instruments, including design specifications and tolerances along with quality control. Soprano, alto, and tenor saxophones as well as flutes and trumpets are currently available as L & L Winds. What the future holds for expanding this line remains to be seen. We currently hold and have held the repair bid for Montgomery County Public Schools' brass and woodwind instruments for over 15 years. We work with approximately 190 schools both public and private, and 3 stores in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.

Jamey Bellizzi is a graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has studied the classical guitar with Jesus Silva and composer-guitarist Abel Carlevaro. Mr. Bellizzi is an expert in instrumental music from before 1750 and is very active in expanding the repertoire for the guitar. He has published and recorded six anthologies that contain new transcriptions and arrangements for the guitar from the 13th to the 18th centuries. Jamey is also a composer for the guitar and his most recent original composition, "Serenate del Oro" has been selected for publication by the Guitar Foundation of America competition (1994). Mr. Bellizzi performs extensively and is a contributor to Acoustic Guitar magazine. He lives in Nevada City, California.

Cary School of Music was established in 1993 to provide an easily accessible, affordable, attractive and joyful environment for the study and performance of music. There are currently over 40 teachers at Cary School of Music who represent some of the leading music institutions in the world. CSM faculty are proficient performers who participate in many of the North Carolina and Triangle area music organizations, including the North Carolina Symphony, Raleigh Symphony Orchestra, Durham Symphony Orchestra, North Carolina Theatre Orchestra and the Best of Broadway South Orchestra. Several are band and strings teachers in local public schools. New students may enroll for lessons at Cary School of Music any time of the year. We operate on two 23-week semesters. Our Winter/Spring semester runs from January through June and the Summer/Fall semester from July through December.
