The Mille Lacs Band opened Grand Casino Hinckley in 1992. The Band also opened the Grand Casino Mille Lacs in 1991. The two casinos created thousands of jobs and generated revenues that benefit the Band, which consists of its nearly 3,600 members, as well as its non-Indian neighbors. Grand Casino Hinckley is recognized as a gaming and entertainment destination resort with hotels, restaurants and headline entertainment acts. The casinos have attracted new residents to the area and boosted tourism, which has resulted in dozens of new businesses throughout the region. Grand Casino Hinckley is located in Hinckley, Minn.
