Founded in 1985, Judith G. Wharton Music Center, earlier known as the Suburban Community Music Center, is one of the largest independent, nonprofit music schools in New Jersey. The center provides music instruction, educational programs and performances. It offers music classes for children, adults and senior citizens. Judith G. Wharton Music Center is a more than 11,000-square-foot facility that includes a music technology laboratory, lounge and studios. The center provides private lessons in instrumental and vocal music. In addition, it offers summer courses in creative expressions and strings. The center organizes concerts. It operates a store that provides music accessories, books, CDs and instruments. Judith G. Wharton Music Center offers a recording studio and room on a rental basis.
