The Rappahannock Area Community Services Board is an organization born out of 1968 state legislation which allowed local governments to create local centers to address mental health issues within the community. RACSB provides counseling, treatment and support for community residents dealing with mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse. As a local government entity, emphasis is placed on providing these services at low cost and plans such as deferred payments may be available to those in need. This particular location on Piedmont Drive is a group home providing housing and services to live-in residents.
