Founded in 1961, The University of South Carolina Aiken, also known as USC Aiken, enrolls more than 3,000 students. It is a public, coeducational university that offers undergraduate and masters degree programs in the fields of history, biology, chemistry, math, engineering, philosophy, political science, psychology and fine arts. The university additionally provides graduate courses through the USC Extended Graduate Campus program. Its campus spreads across an area of over 450 acres.
