Cresent Fine Furniture, based in Gallatin, Tenn., has a rich history spanning more than 50 years in the furniture business. The company s roots lie in retail furniture. Charles R. Tomkins Jr. founded Cresent Furniture in 1945 as a retail furniture store in Gallatin. After several years of searching for affordable solid wood furniture for his customers, he set out to manufacture the furniture that his customers deserved. During the last 10 years, the company s line of furniture has grown to include Art Deco contemporary, neo-classical modern, 18th century traditional, Shaker and transitional designs. It has also added several collections using cherry and walnut veneers. Cresent furniture is distributed throughout the United States and Canada by a network of carefully selected independent dealers.
