Market Wine & Spirits, also known as Busa Wine & Spirits, has been in business since 2000. It is located in a large shopping strip off of Highland Avenue in Salem, a very popular section of the city. Parking here is more than adequate, with unlimited spaces to choose from, which comes in handy during the holidays.
G Bar & Kitchen is located on Route 129 is a bistro that offers a choice of fish, meat and vegetarian recipies. Chef Gregg Brackman has created a menu of creative dishes such as pumpkin gnocci, firecracker linguini aglio e oloio and honey-truffle sweet fries to name a few. A selection of dinner and dessert wines are available from the bar. Reservations are strongly suggested and can only be made over the phone.
Cane Vandehoof is the owner of Miramonte, a vineyard and winery established in 2000. Every Friday and Saturday night Miramonte hosts live entertainment; every third Thursday is for artists. It is currently expanding its 44 acres.
Vynecrest Winery on Arrowhead Lane is only seven miles from Allentown, but once you arrive, the sprawling vineyard looks like a scene from Napa Valley. Their nearly 100-acre picturesque vineyard grows enough grapes to produce 20,000 gallons of wine in the next year.
Vynecrest offers daily sampling open to close, monthly specials, seasonals, online orders, and even has live entertainment in the Vyneskellar tasting and entertainment area. Whether you're a first time taster or a discerning critic, their warm atmosphere is inviting to all. They boast 17 awards for 17 entries in state and national wine contests this year. Pamplemousse, along Salem's Essex Street pedestrian mall, features a variety of boutique wines, craft beers and tasty treats for the most discriminating epicures. Pamplemousse, the French word for grapefruit, also sells kitchen gadgets, aprons, tableware, linens and much more. June through October, the shop holds wine and beer tastings every Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and every Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m.
