The Douglaston/Little Neck branch of the Queens Borough Public Library offers a wide array of books, classes, CDs and DVDs.
The library, which opened in 1962, is one of the borough's smallest branches, but it underwent a renovation in 2009 that added new computers, furniture and self check-in technology.
Services include free computer access and printing for visitors with a library card. There's also a variety of programs such as yoga, a book club, computer classes and knitting.
Though the North Hills location is one of the smallest in terms of size in the Queens Library system, branch manager Yang Zeng reports a healthy circulation driven by a diverse crowd of Little Neck bibliophiles.
With a unique circular interior layout, the library includes rows of adult fiction and non-fiction titles, books in Chinese and Korean and a children's center.
The branch also boasts four Internet terminals, free Wi-Fi and resources for area job-seekers.
