Yak Academy is a language learning center that teaches Mandarin. The academy's director, Miss Jill, formerly of Beijing, China, speaks Mandarin, Japanese and English. Miss Blanca is the lead Spanish Instructor. Miss Karina is Assistant Director and teaches Spanish to preschoolers. Miss Joelle is the French instructor and holds a master's degree in Mandarin Chinese while also being proficient in German and Spanish. She refers to herself as a "language bug." There are also two other teachers for Mandarin: Miss Tracy and Miss Wendy. Right now the Academy is holding a camp schedule from June 21st to July 2nd. Camp tuition is $225 for five days.
Alliance Francaise de Los Angeles is a French cultural and language center. It offers group and private French classes for children and adults modeled after the Common European Framework standards. It also hosts theater and dance performance events throughout the year.
