The Simco Road Regional Landfill is located 25 east of Boise, just off interstate 84 in a rural, dry area with less than 10 inches of annual precipitation. The commercially licensed, Federal Subtitle D landfill, which opened in 1999, is permitted and regulated by the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality and the Central District Health Department.
