Established in 1953, Sunset Elementary School has an enrollment of more than 250 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school provides education in English, math, science, social studies and language arts. Its curriculum additionally includes music and physical education. Sunset Elementary School offers special education programs for students with developmental disabilities. The school operates The Learning Academy, which helps to augment, scaffold, improve and enhance the learning of students on a systematic basis. The academy s members include classroom teachers and Title I and special education staff.
