Franklin Avenue Elementary School is a member of the Pearl River School District and as such adheres to all the guidelines set forth by the district offices. The school runs a standard curriculum, as the district as a whole follows the guidelines set forth by the New York State Learning Standards. Opened in 1953, Evans Park is the oldest of the three elementary schools in the Pearl River School District. The school employs three teachers at the kindergarten and first-grade levels and four each for second, third and fourth grades. In addition to the grade-level teachers, the faculty includes specialists in speech, language, art, music, physical education, reading and ESL. Peggy Lynch is the school principal.
