Lewis County Intermediate School, based in Hohenwald, Tenn., provides academic education to students in grades three through five. The school s support staff includes a guidance counselor, custodian, librarian, resource officer, literacy coach and a media specialist. Lewis County Intermediate School offers an accelerated reader program that is used to monitor and guide reading practices and help students in improving reading abilities. The school focuses on integrating the cultural activities into its academic programs for the students. Its academic curriculum includes math, science, social studies, art, reading, creative writing, spelling, life skills and physical education.
