Located in Steger, Ill., Columbia Central School serves more than 350 students in Will County in grades six through eight. Its curriculum includes arts, computers, business, industrial arts, English, family and consumer sciences, foreign languages, health education, math, music, vocational and physical education, science, art and craft, and social studies. It offers various sport programs, including cross-country, basketball, volleyball, and track and field. The school also provides various group activities and extracurricular activities, such as clubs, school newspaper and field trips. Columbia Central School operates a federally approved lunch program, and is governed by the Steger School District 194, which serves more than 1,700 students throughout Steger, South Chicago Heights, Park Forest, Sauk Village and Crete, Ill.
