Meigs Middle School enrolls more than 700 students and offers classes from grades six through eight. The school s curriculum includes various subjects, such as language arts, math, science, social studies, health education, English, computer science, arts and crafts, music and physical education. It organizes various extracurricular activities, such as academic team, band, beta club, cheerleaders, chorus, dance team, knowledge masters, math team, power squad, student council and yearbook. The school has athletic teams for cross-country, football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, swimming, cheerleading, baseball, golf, softball and tennis. It also provides other facilities, including transportation and daily meals. Located in Shalimar, Fla., Meigs Middle School operates under the guidelines set by the Okaloosa County School District.
