Marathon High School, located in Marathon, Fla., is governed by the Monroe County School District. It teaches classes from grades seven through 12 in a middle and a high school level, and enrolls more than 600 students. Its curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, physical education, practical and fine arts, technology studies, and vocational and career-oriented subjects. Marathon High School also provides dual enrollment program that enables students to participate in community college studies while still in high school. The school has various clubs and associations, including National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, interact club, student government association, Mu Alpha Theta, Students Against Destructive Decisions, and art club. Marathon High School also provides a wide range of athletic activities, such as baseball, tennis, softball, golf, football, volleyball and cross-country.
