Perry Hill School is the newly-renovated old Shelton Intermediate School. It opened its doors to students in grades 5-6 in September 2010. This is new to the academic community, as these grades had previously been part of elementary schools. Now, fifth and sixth graders get to learn in this beautiful new building, have their own lockers and get prepared for the intermediate school with the introduction of having more than one teacher. Visit the school's website for more information, including a calendar of events and general school policies.
Shelton Intermediate School moved from its Perry Hill location and opened its brand new doors in September 2001. It houses students in grades 7 and 8. In the 1988-89 school year, SIS was recognized with a Blue Ribbon School Award of excellence, which is the highest award an American school can receive. The middle school offers many extracurricular activities and different educational programs to best meet each student's personal needs.
