A Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, Dodd is the only middle school in Cheshire. It has a student population of about 800 students who are taught through a team learning approach. The basic subject teams concentrate on language arts, math, science and social studies. Dodd students have achieved well above the state average in the CT Mastery Test for the last four years. In summer 2010, students will have the opportunity to travel to Yellowstone National Park with Dodd teachers as part of the "Grand Classroom" program.
