Salida Middle School provides learning opportunities to students in grades five through eight. The school offers classes in science, math, American history and language arts. It provides a variety of programs in band and choir. It offers opportunities to participate in several athletic activities, such as volleyball, baseball, basketball, cross-country, and track and field. Salida Middle School also publishes a monthly student newspaper. The school has a parent-teacher organization that supports through fundraising events. It provides special education and extended learning services. In addition, the school organizes science and history fairs. Salida Middle School is a part of Salida School District R-32-J.
