Jehovahs Witnesses is an organization of more than 6 million members that provides information about God, whose name is Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ. The organization s members practice in over 95,000 congregations in nearly 230 locations throughout the world. It promotes, publishes and distributes study materials related to the Bible. Jehovahs Witnesses also publishes a journal, The Watchtower Announcing Jehovahs Kingdom. The journal is printed in approximately 140 languages. In addition, the organization offers several literacy programs, as well as operates public ministries. The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York is a legal organization in use by Jehovah s Witnesses.
