Lemon Grove Ice Cream Parlor specializes in 100-percent natural Niederfrank’s ice cream, made locally in National City since 1948. The parlor has 32 ice cream flavors along with five vegan sherbets and sorbets, including “lemon groovy” sherbet. They offer snacks, sundaes, fresh juices, malts and shakes. Lemon Grove Ice Cream Parlor also makes a favorite Mexican snack called tostilocos, a single-serve bag of tortilla chips opened to form a bowl and topped with chopped cucumber, pork skin, jicama, peanuts, lime, and hot sauce.
