Founded in 1895, Palmer Home for Children is a privately funded, charitable, nonprofit corporation operating under Mississippi law, and offering a wide variety of child care services. The organization serves more than 100 boys and girls from birth through college age. It also provides counseling to families, foster care services, and other family-related services to the community. The organization operates thrift stores to generate funds in support of the orphanage. Palmer Home is a member of the National Association of Christian Child and Family Agencies, and Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability. Palmer Home for Children is located in Columbus, and also operates campuses in Lake Cormorant, Lucedale, Starkville, Horn Lake, and Hernando, Miss.
