He grew up in Tucson, Arizona where he spent his youth enjoying the tranquillity and beauty of the Sonoran desert. Some of his favorite pastimes include exploring the trails of Arizona, camping, cooking, photography, chasing storms, traveling, and snowboarding. Dr. Aussems preaches that prevention is the best medicine, but he also understands the realities of modern life and is willing to meet patients wherever they are on their healing journeys. For him, finding and treating the root cause of the disease is essential, but he is aware that this can occasionally be a tedious process; because of this, his number one priority is to make his patients comfortable during this period of time.
