From its opening day Martel’s has always been about firm respectable values. Baldo Herrera, Shop Foreman, joined Martel’s in June of 1981 with Kenny Hodges, General Manager, coming along on Memorial Day of 1982. Our employees are a family, the Carter family, for example (Henry, Mike, & Josh) came in the beginning and have been with us for 3 generations. On July 2, 2001 the baton was officially passed on to Kenny & Maxie Hodges when Kenny purchased Martel’s Machine Shop to continue with the same core values and work ethics.
Since 1978 Martel’s Machine Shop has had a strong commitment to the oil and gas industry of the Permian Basin. Throughout the years learning, expanding and keeping up with the demanding and ever changing technologies of the Oil Industry, Martel’s Machine Shop has grown to be a dependable manufacturer and repair shop.
