The Missoula County Department of Public Works is responsible for the development and management of infrastructure improvement plans. It offers a range of services that includes design, maintenance and construction of roads, bridges and walkways. The department also provides road signing and striping, as well as water and sewer system maintenance services. Its road maintenance services include cleaning, paving, grading, graveling and snow removal. In addition, the Missoula County Department of Public Works operates and maintains portable rock crusher used to produce aggregate materials. It maintains more than 100 sumps and over 900 culverts within the county. The department employs a staff of more than 30 operators and mechanics. It is located in Missoula, Mont.
