The O'Fallon Fire Protection District, located just down the street from City Hall at 119 East Elm Street, has been serving the community since 1906 and became an official district in 1970. The district has 51 paid fire fighters on staff and 42 volunteers who provide fire protection services and emergency response throughout the city. The department engages in the community by offering demonstrations to day care centers and local scout groups and by helping with fundraisers for local organizations such as the Kiwanis Club. They also offer residents assistance with installing smoke detectors, proper infant seat installation and provide a list of fire safety tips on their website.
The Grantwood Village Town Hall hosts government activities for the town's 880 residents and their representatives. The Board of Trustees meets here the third Tuesday of every month. The town court gathers here the second Tuesday of every odd-numbered month.
The Richmond Heights Municipal Court primarily handles traffic tickets, parking tickets and ordinance violations. Court for regular dockets happens at 6:30pm on the second and fourth Mondays of the month. Court for trial and housing issues happens on the third Wednesday of the month.
The office also handles all questions and complaints related to accidents, the police and the court. Out-of-court costs may be paid online or using the dropbox in the lobby. East Central Dispatch Center representatives are available to help customers after regular business hours.
