The Cocopah Indian Tribe is described as generous and non-materialistic people. The tribe has maintained their traditional and cultural beliefs through the various political environments and the ever-changing landscapes. It is one of the descendant tribes from the greater Yuman language-speaking people who occupied lands along the Colorado River. Cocopah Indian Tribe ancestors also lived along the lower Colorado River region near the river delta and the Gulf of California. The tribe has established many business ventures over the years. The tribe owns and operates several business enterprises, including the Cocopah Casino, the Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort and the Cocopah Korner. The tribe is located in Somerton, Ariz.
