In business since 1952, the Chapel Hills Farm & Nursery is open year-round. There are kid-friendly seasonal activities and the location lends itself as a beautiful backdrop to private events and birthday parties. The farm features a snowball shack, petting zoo, koi fish pond and playground. There is also an on-site working produce stand that sells seasonal produce and gardening supplies.
This is location of the Greenhouses program of Emerge, a nonprofit serving individuals with developmental, physical and mental disabilities providing residential, employment and day services individuals in Baltimore City and Baltimore, Howard, Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties. The Greenhouse program aims to provide therapeutic relief to these adults through horticulture. It boasts more than 15,000 square feet where the organization grows various plants for sale to churches, schools, landscapers, nurseries, community businesses and other supporters of Emerge.
